  PRAYER REQUEST
This is the most recent picture of Kelli taken in May 2002 when she went to the
Jack Tone Ranch.  She has always loved horses.  It was her dream since very young to have her own.

June, 2002   Kelli has been in the hospital now for 4 days, without waking up. They say she is very lucky she has no further injuries.  She is moving around and seems to be wanting to wake up,  but so far is not responding to  the doctors requests. She is in ICU and we are just waiting. They did the usual cat scans and many other tests and she has no other injuries that they could see. She had a small amount of bleeding in the back and a bruised frontal lobe.  So untill the brain is ready, she wont wake up.  The bleeding was minimal and also the bruising, the repeat scans did not show any further swelling and the bleeding has worked its way out of her body.  Yesterday they did a MRI in the late afternoon.  I have called several times and she was still the same. No information on the MRI as yet.  So I am just waiting.  I may go over this afternoon.  As soon as she is moved to the trauma unit I can stay with her. Hopefully that will be real soon.

July 26, 2002  MRI showed other small areas that were bruised, so that explains why she has taken a little longer to come out of it.  The doctor said he had hoped she would wake up by now but this explains it and it could be anytime. Last night she seemed a little more relaxed and is being fed through a tube. So far she is doing as they expected, it could be anytime...
Please pray for her to come to without any serious problems.  I have not ever experienced anyone with a head trauma so this is very frightening and they do not know the outcome. They have said she is very strong. and have to keep her in restraints to keep her from hurting herself.  I have always thought she was a delicate little thing, which may be what is taking her time.  I feel confident, but feel we need all your prayers.  If you know of others who will pray for her send this to them too.  We  need all the prayers lifting her to God for her healing...He is the great Healer of all Thank You and God Bless...

July 27, 2002   was a thrilling day for us.  They have put Kelli in another room, still someone with her all the time.  But she has been making steady progress.  The therapist came right after we got there and for the first time Kelli was making progress, following commands, and she turned to Kim and when they ask who that was she said Kim, She told me she loves me and we saw her frown and smile.  She is understanding quite well. She ask about her nephews, each one by name.  We had a hard time leaving her last night. Had been there most of the day.  We are just so thrilled and we know she will be fine.  It will just take time and lots of patience and prayers. Thank all of you for your prayers.  We have a most wonderful and loving God, and He does answer prayers.  Thank you Jesus.

July 29, 2002    Another surprise, Kelli was taken off all tubes and is doing much better.  She was so thirsty and she is able to drink and eat now.  No more feeding tubes, or restraits. They said she can have anything she wants.  Water was so good and apple juice even better.  She had been asking for something to drink for a few days now.  Today she was being fed by the nurse.

July 30, 2002    Kelli is able to sit up by herself now and can feed herself.  She looks so much better today. She was tired this evening but hopefully she will sleep good tonight.  I look forward to going over each day to see how she has progressed.  Dr Chen came in tonight and said she will be fine, he expects a complete recovery as she has come so far in just a few days.  They will probably send her to rehabilitation next and may have to have speech therapy etc. But she sounds and look better each day.

July 31, 2002    A little setback.  They turned there back and Kelli fell out of bed.  So back into a collar and flat on her back all day.  That night we insisted knowing what the xrays showed.  So though it took all day to get the  results, She is fine.

August 2,2002   Another great day.  Kelli is, with help, walking across her room. She is in a pretty big room now and shares with another gal who has the same injuries.  Falling from a horse. Kelli is still weak and unsteady, but with their help she was able to walk twice before getting too tired.  She had a shower and her hair washed last night.  I took her paper, pen and calendar etc. and she is busy. She loves to write and I thought this would keep her busy.  I also made copies of this page,  guestbook and copies of letters from those praying for her.  She was in awe.  I knew once she could understand a bit better she would love it and she does.  I put it in a nice plastic pink folder so she can keep it with her.  She said Wow, I didnt know so many people were praying for me.  She had drawn a picture and they hung it on the wall.  Of a horse eating hay in a field.

I am asking you to pray for my daughter who is in the hospital now since Sunday evening. I am writing this on Thursday June 25, 2002

PRAYER REQUEST FOR KELLI

My Prayers are with you every moment as we wait for you to wake up and recognize us.  You mean so very much to me and I know you know this, but I have to tell you again.
I love you so very much.

Andy I know this is so hard on you too. Please let us know if we can help you.  I thank God for bringing you into Kelli's life.  We think so very much of you too. She wanted someone like her grandfather and I believe you have his great disposition.  You are like a son to me.

******************************
Dear Father in heaven, I pray you hear our prayers. Be with Kelli as she comes out of this and still the fears I know she will have.  She will need a soothing healing touch, to understand and realize she is now limited and must slow down and be careful. That though she is a strong person she cannot do everything.  Let her know that things are being taken care of.  I sense she knows we are there but cant understand anything else.  I just pray that she is okay. You are the Healer and only You know what is needed here. Dear God Please watch over her and keep her comfortable.  She is such a sweetheart and I thank You for everyhing You have done for her so far. Bring her gently back to us and I ask for her complete healing...I thank You for always being there for us. For gving Your son to die for us.  Thank You for making it possible for us to have everlasting life with You.  You are my rock and my strength and I will forever praise You. Thank You for helping me through this nightmare. You have stilled my fears and I feel very confident that she will be fine.  Amen
Kelli, my precious daughter needs all your prayers and I will be forever grateful.  Please send this to any prayer warriors you may know.  She fell and hit her head and has several bruises, a small amount of bleeding and bruised her frontal lobe and has been in a-coma....
The  Lords Prayer was sent to me by Ironman and I thought it           beautiful and perfect for this page.  Thank You Ironman...

August 6, 2002   Thank all of you for your prayers, it is because of all your prayers and Gods great blessings, that Kelli is doing very well, she is getting around very well and amazing everyone. She is getting physical, speech and occupational therapy twice a day and doing very well. She really wants to go home. She has short term memory loss and they are working on that though that may take several months.

August 13, 2002  Well I cant Praise our Heavenly Father enough. He has performed another miracle, as Kelli, will be going home in one week.  She had a medium to severe head injury and is doing remarkable.  We went to the first meeting with all her doctors and therapists, and was amazed at how many were there.  They all said she has been doing so well. The doctor said if there were a problem wth siezures it usually happens in the first coule of weeks. She has passed that point.  She gets a pass  next weekend and then will be released on Wednesday the 21st.  One month in the hospital and she has recovered enough to go home. She is wanting to go back to work. She offers to help the nurses and goes to the kitchen to help herself or bring us coffee or a cold drink. She is taking all of this so well.  But is aware that she is having a problem at times.  Usually when tired or two much company or other stimulation like tv etc.  Thank all of you again for all the prayers and Praise His Holy Name, for He has heard our prayers. Thank you Jesus, Thank you God and thank all of my family, friends and others who have prayed for KELLI...
To learn more about TBI; Brain Injuries, I have added some excellent links.
September 2002,  It has been a long month.   Kelli is doing very well and though she has found where she is lacking in her cognitive skills, She has been working on getting back to herself.  She is doing very well and I am sure she would feel much better if she had a way of supporting herself. She is going through depression and anger but that is all part of the healing. Im sure it would not beso bad if we had any luck with her financial help. We have not been able to acheive that yet. They say she can not work and cannot drive so she is not able to draw unemployment either.  She finally was given some help the end of Sept. Though no money as yet. I took her in and she went in and applied for SSI and though she is eligible it takes up to 120 days.  I dont know how she is suppose to make it.  She is still seeing doctors and therapists and is getting better each day..

October 20, 2002  Kelli went to visit those at Good Samaritan where she went through rehabilitation and they were pleased to see her and said she is doing so much better. She talked to a young   girl and tried to encourage her, as she had been in a bad car accident and had severe brain injuries. She told her she will get better and not to give up.  She then talked to the girls where she had worked previous to the accident and found out that the girl who took her position will go back to on-call when Kelli is ready to go back to work. So now she is just waiting for the okay.  She is anxious to go back thought we do not know when she will be released to drive or to work as yet.  We can only pray for her complete healing and the day she goes back to work I will let you know.  Yes, it is all Gods doing, but it is friends such as you who have helped in lifting her to God in prayer and I love you all for it.  God Bless each one of you and your families and all those in need of His blessings...

October;   Kelli has two more appts tomorrow and is steadily improving. She is still going to several therapy sessions.  Still has some problems and it seems they are improving.  It could take up to a year to remember everything, or longer. She is trying to do things that will help her to remember and it is just a matter of time....

May 2003: Wonderful News to report.  Kelli took her driving test in March as that was
when she was okayed by the doctors to drive. She and was given back her liscense to drive. Thank God. And She started back to work last week.  She went back to her old job and had to be retested for that position again. She passed with flying colors. She feels so much better all ready.  They are so happy to have her back, and she is so happy to be back to work..  She cares for four women who are physiclly challenged. They love her and  she loves them. even more now that she fully understands them.  She was very lucky and knows it.  Kelli has had a tough year behind her but it can only  get better now.  Kelli is my miracle child.   Thank you God for listening to our prayers, and thank you to everyone out there who joined me in prayer.   I cant thank you enough, I love you all....God Bless all of you.  I could not have gotten through this without you...

Oct. 15, 2003: Update:  Well there has been many changes.  Kelli is doing well.  She is still working as a caregiver for four handicapped women who dearly love her.  She and Andy are not together anymore.  He moved back to the midwest, where he grew up.  He decided he wanted to be near his mother who has had some medical problems.  He said he still loved Kelli. an\- I think it was all just more than he could handle.  She  had a hard time getting any help and could not go back to work for almost a year. Of course with her medical bills etc. they had problems with finances, etc.  I wish him well but know Kelli was hurt deeply as it was like she really didnt understand.
Please continue to pray for her as she overcomes another hurdle in her life.  I know things will get better in time we just have to leave it to God and He will see her through. As her mother of course  I still worry about her and I hate to see her go through hard times.

May 3, 2007: Kelli is doing very well, is working and doing great in her job.  She has been having some health problems lately, first bronchitis for three weeks, broke her foot six weeks ago and just now out of the boot. She is now getting over the flu, she can still use your prayers as she is wanting to get a place of her own and looking now for something affordable.  She will be having tests in the near future as she has symptoms of celiac spru or chrones disease.  Please pray with me that this is not the case, and if it is, she will be touched by God once again and healed.
